One in five Scarborough households struggles to afford enough food, a sobering statistic that underscores the urgent need for action.

At Malvern Family Resource Centre (MFRC), we are actively addressing food insecurity. Each week, our team provides 1,500 meals and snacks in every one of our daily programs, ensuring children, youth, seniors, and newcomers all have access to nutritious food. We also grow 40,000lbs. of produce each year at the Malvern Urban Farm and are in discussions with officials to further expand it.

We ensure 100% meal coverage across all our programs—because no one should learn, grow, or heal on an empty stomach. Every dollar goes directly toward nourishing lives and strengthening community.
