Knitting and Crochet Teacher
This position is under the Women’s Department.
Join us at our Women’s Place every Tuesday and use your skills to teach the women how to crochet and knit.
It’s a great opportunity to use your skills and connect with people from the Malvern community.
Tasks/Activities/Responsibilities
- Plan and teach women how to knit or crochet bigger projects (sweater, purse, shoes, pillow). Majority of the members know the basic of knitting and crocheting
- Be responsible for planning a weekly class for 3 months
- Create a fun and welcoming environment for our members
- Willing to work in a team environment
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements
- Be friendly and welcoming
- Experienced knitter and crocheter
- Available Tuesdays 1-3 pm every week (3 months)
- Female volunteers only
- Criminal Vulnerable Sector Check Required (takes up to 2-3 months to process with Toronto)
