Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to Women's Place. Our volunteers are some of our most valued assets and we certainly would not be able to offer some of our programs without their involvement.

Volunteer positions at the Centre involve a wide range of roles. Women choose to be at Women’s Place for a variety of reasons including: giving back to their community, working in a women-only environment, building a social network, breaking isolation in their lives, gaining peer counselling skills, developing new life skills, working on projects that inspire them, accessing resources for themselves and other women in their communities, etc.

Become part of this exciting group of women. We look forward to having your vibrancy; talents and excitement contribute to our team! We welcome women who are interested in giving their time and appreciate the energy, enthusiasm and commitment that they bring to the centre.

Volunteers and staff at Women's Place can provide you services in the following languages: Arabic, Cantonese, English, French, Hindi, Persian, Punjabi, Tamil & Urdu.

Women's Place is recruiting volunteers. If you are looking for a way to use or expand your skill base, please contact us and we can assist you in registering for a volunteer orientations session. Orientation sessions are held on a regular basis and on-going training is provided.

Volunteer Testimonial

“I enjoy volunteering at Women's Place because I get to give back and get more from the women that I work with. I remember the help that I got when I came into Women’s Place and it makes me feel great that I am now in a position to help other women.”
