Malvern Family Resource Centre is committed to strengthening families and individuals, through inclusive and effective programs and services for children, youth, women, seniors and families in the Rouge River Riding.

Overview of Major Responsibilities

Volunteers will assist in the delivery of a fun-filled summer camp program for children ages 6-12 years. Volunteers are required to commit to a full week program.  Volunteers would assist with sign-in process, room set-up and clean-up.

Tasks/Activities

  • Assist in facilitating fun-filled activities with children related to the camp theme for the particular week
  • Assist in games, arts and crafts, field trips, etc.
  • Interact with children in a positive, friendly manner
  • Must be able to follow direction from camp staff
  • Minimum age is 14
  • Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable
  • Must abide to Malvern Family Resource Centre’s policies and procedures

Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Enthusiastic and have an interest in working with children
  • Responsible and organized
  • Willingness to learn and teach others
  • Ability to work in noisy environment
  • Motivated and displays initiative
  • Police reference check required
