The programs offered at the Seniors Centre give seniors an opportunity to develop new friendships, while encouraging them to contribute their skills, experience and wisdom to support the social well-being in the community. Seniors have been able to reduce their isolation, develop positive adaptation to transitions in their lives, build self-esteem, maintain well-being and develop supportive relationships among peers.
